One Friday night when people usually seek to entertain themselves in certain ways, what can one do other than follow up the same habit. It’s been quite a while since I’ve last seen a movie, especially on ‘the big screen’ (aka my computer) so I decided to look for random Christian movies, there were two that really got my attention, War Room was my choice.
My blog goes by the name of Warrior of Light, as most of you know. If there’s something this movie teaches you, is exactly that – how to become a warrior of light. Fight in God’s army. Fight the right fight, with the right enemy.
Are you at war with someone?
At war with your husband/wife? Your brother/sister, maybe your parents? A friend or boyfriend? Whoever that person is, they are the wrong enemy.
“Our fight is not against people on earth. We are fighting against the rulers and authorities and the powers of this world’s darkness. We are fighting against the spiritual powers of evil in the heavenly places. That is why you need to get God’s full armor. Then on the day of evil, you will be able to stand strong. And when you have finished the whole fight, you will still be standing.”
Ephesians 6:11-13 (ERV)
To some this verse might sound familiar, to some it might not, but there’s only one thing you should remember, we are not fighting against people. So, whatever you fight, with whatever person you’re fighting with, that fight is pointless and reckless for both you and them. Conclusion, nobody wins.
Now you might be saying, Teo, why are you giving me lectures when I obviously clicked your article to read a review on War Room, cause I’m probably interested in the movie, NOT what you have to say.
Dear ladies and gentlemen, which I hope are gentle, this is what War Room is about! Sorry to dissapoint. If not, carry on reading!
It would be easy for me to ramble a few words and simply insert the trailer of the film and write another blog post, checking it off my list, but War Room is a movie that would not let me do that. I don’t mean to preach. It’s just, reality hits you hard sometimes and you realize just how much you D.E.P.E.N.D on God. Without God you are in a ‘deep end’.
Someone once said, and I quote “Without air you can live for two minutes, without God, not even that”.
Without God you would simply dissapear into that deep end. You could also fight God, but all your gym hours and efforts would be useless in a fight with your Creator.
If you’re struggling in life, your marriage is falling apart, your child feels unloved, you have just been fired, your car is being taken away, if you’re losing everything and your life is falling apart.
LEAN ON GOD.
I’m in no position to offer advice for any of theses struggles, but War Room is just the film you need. It will tell you everything you need to know.
Now, please take in mind that life will not change instantly, it won’t all be rainbows and sunshine as they say, but with God, it will get better, you’ll see how.
(Note: don’t be satisfied with just a Christian title, the lead role in the film played a Christian, but she was clueless towards what it means to be a Warrior! Huge difference! So check it out!)
